Rainstorms and Idiots

One day at Friday's, about a year ago, we had this really horrific rainstorm. Tornadoes were touching down everywhere, trees were combusting due to lightening - it was terrible. Our power went out in the middle of a rush. In fear of our windows being blown out and sharp objects flying around the room, we shut down the restaurant, cleared off our tables, and politely asked our customers to head to the back until the whole thing blew over (npi).

Most of our costomers obliged, but there are always the itiots. About 3 people complained about not getting a burger (first of all we had no electricity to cook it with. Second of all, YOUR LIFE IS IN DANGER). Two others actually tried to leave. One of them was obviously intoxicated.

Luckily we calmed down our angry customers and persuaded our deserters to stay with us a bit longer. All the while wondering why these morons were ever allowed to leave their homes in the first place.

"More than 200 years ago, Patrick Henry voiced the battle cry of the American Revolution with 'Give me liberty or give me death!' Today he could demonstrate his patriotic zeal by changing his takeout order." - Michael Moore on topic of "Freedom Fries"
