Title

Yeah, I learned how to make a title today. Thanks, Cherish!

So, not a lot has been going on. I still have dial up, but hopefully that will be taken care of by tomorrow. Who knows? I still have a job, I still have my apartment, and I still hate bees.

I've been invited to blog on Chicknews. I'll link that as soon as I remember how. I accepted and so a lot of stories will be retold on that sight.

Here's my rant for the day: When the cable guy says he's going to show up, why does the time frame have to be all freakin' day??? Do they want you to have no life????

Things I'm greatful for:

1. Living with Aaron. I'm so glad for the experience. It's been great so far.
2. My own shower. I can take one whenever I damn well want to.
3. The word spork. Without it, the English language would not be so colorful.
4. ManU. w00t!!
5. TechTV for teaching me stuff I never knew about computers before.
6. Surprisingly, my job. As much as I feel like I hate it at times, it's still my second home.
7. My mother. She drove me crazy at home, but now I'm glad she's still around.

Oh, and one more thing. I sat on a machete today just seconds before I got slugged in the jaw by Aaron's elbow. Both were accidents. That is all.

It's the end of my three day weekend. I get to work from 10am to 1am tomorrow. Yay.

I had a very boring day today. I didn't get high speed online because I didn't have time to. I did, however, have time to sit on my butt and do nothing. Yup, that's what I did today. Sure, I cleaned the apartment a bit, but that gets old after a while.

It's not as if I wanted to sit on my butt. I had stuff to do. It's just hard as heck to get anything done in this city if you don't have a car. And I don't.

So, anyway, I'm tired of getting into all these stupid little fights with my roommate. It just seems like everytime I blink my eyes, I'm doing something to annoy him. It's not just him, it's everyone I meet. I thought that I annoy people and get into all these arguments because I can't keep my mouth shut. I did a little experiment and I found out that shutting up doesn't help. I can say nothing and spark up an argument. Great!!

But enought of that ranting. I need to feel better. Here's 7 things I'm greatful for...

1. Time off from work. I rarely get it, but when I do, it feels great.
2. Chocolate. It's addicting. It's bad for you. But it's oh, so good!
3. The funky shaped waterbed. It's all weird, so if I'm on the wrong side of it, I slip down between the sideboard and the watermatress, and for a person of my small stature, it's hard to get out. It's so much fun.
4. Shorts. The are so much better for hot weather than pants.
5. Stand up comedy. Without Friday night stand up on Comedy Central, I would have had a terrible day.
6. Air freshener. Because man, this place can smell.
7. My friend who is alive and well. I'm a little miffed that he didn't call last night and I was worried sick about him all night, but he's okay.

I'm back online. Being at home with my parents left me with slightly less than adequate privacy I required for this blog. I'm out of the house and in my own apartment. My very first apartment. With my roommate. How exciting.

I would say that it's been thrilling, but to tell you the truth, it's been three weeks and it still hasn't sunk into my thick skull that I don't live at home anymore. Perhaps when I'm in my first financial crisis, it'll change.

But for now, I'm living it up with stolen cable and 45 free hours of AOL. Okay, I fessed up to the stolen cable and went to digital. Before you call me a moron, just know that I had to if I wanted high speed internet access, which I get tomorrow. It'll be easier to upload things onto my site and to modify my blog once I get a higher speed connection.

For now, I'd like to introduce three (one of which I stole from a certain blog ) features that I will probably include almost every day. a) a ranting session b) 7 things I'm greatful for and c) a quote for the day.

A) I'm a bit worried. My ADD has been getting very bad lately. I don't find energy and focus to keep working, and it's costing me a lot at my job. I'm also in a fit because it seems that everyone around me these days is depressed. My thoughts and mojo go out to one individual in particular, but I'm pretty much worried about them all.

Also, tonight, a friend of mine told me he would come over and he hasn't showed up yet. I can't get in touch with him. I'm so worried, but my boyfriend tells me not to. Yeah, right. I'll keep you updated on that.

B) Seven Things I'm Greatful For:

1. My roommate who, no matter how much I annoy the hell out of him, seems to always support me and put up with me.
2. My happiness. I'm glad I can share my joy with people, even if they don't seem to paricularly want it.
3. My friends on WWDN Paracosm. Without them, my life would be a mess right now.
4. Showers. Without them, life would stink.
5. Thunder. I'm so glad that I got to experience the sound of thunder while relaxing in my apartment. I find nothing more relaxing. Except maybe a massage. By a hot guy. With a British accent.
6. The Japanese. I hate them because they're good at everything. Damn you, Japan!!! Damn you!!!!!
7. My own life. It's good to be here.

C) Quote of the Day: "Though it takes a lot of power to make a big tree grow, it doesn't need a pot of knowledge, for a seed knows what a seed must know." - Paul McCartney
